I met a group of friends for lunch here and all had a lovely meal, there is a good and varied choice. The staff were very accommodating , i had asked to sit by the fire which was lovely and they insured the fire was stoked regularly with logs. Nice decor and atmosphere. CM
Just popped in for breakfast this morning. Six of us, all ordered something different and a hot drink. Just us in there, it was early. Really nicely decorated interior, in keeping with its name. Very spacious. Waited half an hour for the food to arrive though. Once it arrived, it was tasty and hot. Can't complain about the standards of the meal.
Lovely food and staff very polite and helpful. Slight confusion over the order, but all good in the end. Lovely warm and cosy atmosphere with Badger Ales tap.
Come here once a year for work Christmas meal. Not as good this time. Menu has changed, not as much choice and rather expensive for what it is. Some of our meals were also over cooked. Staff are good and helpful, but won't be returning here gain.
Nice staff, fabulous wing chairs, good beer, good chips. Decor could improve a little as it looks a bit fake. Some local colour like local cricket team scarves would be good.
