We have been using Nine Volt Leap for rehearsal and recording for several years and couldn't recommend it more. Great sounding rooms with excellent and varied equipment and Dom somehow manages to be fun and laid back whilst also being super professional and hardworking. Dom is an excellent producer and engineer and the prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the recordings.
I have recorded here several times and have done some string playing for other albums that Dom has recorded. He is brilliant at what he does. Always a professional, yet relaxed vibe and he REALLY knows his stuff. I trust him to make everything sound amazing and he never disappoints.
We recorded our debut album - I , Cosmonaut - at Nine Volt Leap. Dom has an excellent set up with a wide range of equipment which allowed us to really tap into our creative energy without having to compromise. Dom works efficiently and has an excellent technical knowledge. We felt that we were in good hands which was a huge part of making the whole experience as stress free as it could be. Dom also mastered the album for both CD and Vinyl - this final, critical stage was done to an excellent standard and really made the album tracks fit together and come to life.We also regularly use the rehearsal studio's and they are well equiped and ideal for a wide range of music including very loud bands!I highly recommend Nine Volt Leap Studios - you will be in very good hands.
